What is fondant? Fondant is an icing that is rolled out to cover a cake and dries to give it a satiny smooth finish.  Fondant has a taste similar to marshmallows.  Some people love the taste of fondant, and others will just peel it off.  All of my cakes are iced with buttercream before they are covered in fondant.  If someone peels it off, they still have a creamy layer of buttercream underneath to enjoy with their cake.

How do I set up a wedding cake tasting? Cake tastings are available for weddings or large cake orders.  Please contact me to set up a cake tasting.  Cupcakes or small cakes can be done for cake tastings. Small cakes are done so you can take them home to share with a couple of people.  Tastings are usually done on weekdays.  A tasting can be scheduled during some weekends if you are not able to come during the week.  Cake tastings are $20 dollars on weekdays and $30 on weekends which will be applied to the cake order if it is placed within two weeks of the cake tasting.

How far in advance should I place my order? It is best to place party cake orders at least two weeks in advance.  If you need a cake sooner, always ask!  I sometimes have openings for last minute orders.
Wedding Cake Orders are usually placed at least six months in advance.  This is to ensure your cake date is available.  Please ask if you need a cake sooner.  I sometimes have openings available for closer dates.

Do you require a deposit? Yes, A 50% deposit is required to hold your cake date.  The remaining balance is due at the time of pick up or delivery.   

Do you make cupcakes? Yes, I do cupcakes and cupcake towers.
